Self-development: Manifestation

When my significant other first brought up manifesting a better future for myself 18 months ago. I scoffed but secretly wanted to know more. I began researching what that meant. I was in a very difficult situation back then. I was a single-mom teaching preschool technology classes and community service to 4th graders. I was gone from home about 60 hours a week and only bringing home $24,000 per year, (working summers, too). I needed a change.

I started small, just trying to envision life better than it was in that moment. I watched YouTube videos and read tons of articles/vlogs trying to get it right. When I had a hard time falling asleep or just need more positive vibes in my life, I listened to self-hypnosis, specifically for manifestation but I’ll talk more about that later.

It was definitely slow at first but since then, I’ve gotten better.

A lot of influential people talk about visualization and manifestation, including Rachel Hollis and Lori Harder. Lori Harder actually offers exercising on her podcast that I do on my commute (obviously without closing my eyes).

I started by landing a job making $2 more per hour, working 45-50 hours a week but that included overtime pay, which I wasn’t getting before. After eight months of working so much and still having a two hour commute each day, I grew weary of that, as well and began manifesting again. After two weeks, an unexpected offer landed in my inbox for $2 more per hour but only 38 hours per week. I still had a long commute but slowly I’ve grown.

I still desired more to life-less commute, desirable income, more time with family. Once again, I started manifesting.

Now, I am tutoring three hours per week and I’m partners in an accounting firm. I am making $5-10 more per hour than the last job! In the past year, I’ve gone from $12/hour to $20-25/hour!!

Let me tell you-I use manifestation for more than work!

I’ve used manifesting for finding a mentor, building my tribe, and finding resources for self-development as in books, podcasts and courses.

If you are needing to invite some positive energy into your life or speak your goals and desires into the universe, give manifestation a go. It won’t happen in the first try, as manifestation is something that you will need to practice over time.

So, go out there and manifest a new destiny for yourself! Grow with me!
